THE EVENT - Children

REGISTRATION

Registration for children’s activities this year takes place on Saturday afternoon between 2.30pm and 3.45pm in the individual group venues.

SmilerzSmilerz

Chris and Lynette Loades are back to lead our 0-4s this year. They bring their wonderful way of engaging young children through play, songs, stories and lots of fun to find out more about the God who loves them.

Session times:
9.45am - 11.15am, 12pm - 1pm

Super HeroesSuper Heroes

Our 5-7s will once again be headed up by Sue and Alistair Mitchell. This year, the Super Heroes are voyaging on the Starship Discovery for a galactic adventure over 10 episodes. Come prepared for a journey in space and time as they discover, explore and share some of the disciple Peter's experiences.

Session times:
9.45am - 11.15am, 12pm - 1pm

StarzStarz

If you remember last year, this year will be even more of the same with Richard Read and his team. Our 8-11s are in for a riotous time learning about Jesus and making new friends at the same time. There will be plenty of variety and something for everyone.

Session times:
9.45am - 11.15am, 12pm - 1pm, 6.30pm - 8.30pm

JumpStart

Our 8.15am wake-up call returns for 2010 with Dave and Jules Hill leading the team, with Nicki Rogers returning to lead worship. They will be unpacking the theme for the day with worship, teaching and prayer in a relaxed, family atmosphere.

AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN

We are expanding our children’s programme even more for 2010 with afternoons especially designed for our 2-7 year olds.  This will be a time when parents (and even older siblings – space permitting!) can join in one of our exciting workshops.

Sunday - Circus Skills with James from Pressplay
Monday - Paint your own ceramic mug with Renaissance Crafts
Tuesday - Dance workshop with the Springs Dance Company
Wednesday - Visit from Laura James of Howletts Zoo
Thursday - Music, singing and movement with Jo Jingles (TBC)

All workshops are free with the exception of ‘Paint your own ceramic mug’ where there will be a charge of £5 per item to cover costs. We will also be running two ‘Messy Church’ tea time sessions during the week.

Note: We will still be running afternoon crèche facilities for children under 2.

DETLING LIVE FEED

We will be providing a live TV feed from the main venue during evening meetings into the restaurant for our young families. This will be hosted by special guests throughout the week and will start 10 minutes before the main meeting at 6.20pm.
It's a great way to ensure parents don’t miss out, as children aged under 5 are not allowed into the main meetings. Toys, activity packs and beanbags are also provided.

For the first time, ministry team members will also be available for anyone requiring prayer whilst viewing the live feed in the restaurant. During these times, CRB checked members of our children’s teams are available to take care of your children, so you do not need to worry about their safety.
